The Minnesota Vikings enjoyed a strong 2019 campaign. They went 10-6 in the regular season, earning them a spot in the playoffs. While there, they managed a surprising upset victory over the 13-3 New Orleans Saints in the NFC Wild Card Game.

However, the magic stopped there for Minnesota and they were soon sent home, but this is a team you could consider just a few moves away from a legitimate Super Bowl run.

The Vikings to make a few changes this offseason including several subtractions. Minnesota lost five of their key players on defense.

According to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Vikings defensive back Harrison Smith is not too concerned about the losses.

This is not Smith taking a shot at any of those players. He is simply uplifting the current talent on the team.

The safety seems to believe that everyone on the team is ready to step up. While they lost some names, they've also brought in some new faces.

At the same time, players that were already on the team can still step up. Every year there are new stars being born. And with a few key contributors gone, that means someone else will have to fill their role. Could it be someone that ends up being an even better fit and making a higher contribution?

Most importantly, perhaps, Minnesota still has Smith. Not just Smith, but Danielle Hunter and Anthony Barr, among others. This is still a defense with some absolutely monster names that can anchor the unit.

Losing some key contributors hurts, but it's something most teams have to deal with every year. If you ask Smith, the Vikings will still be fine—they have the talent (and the hunger) to perform in 2020.
