Before NBA teams duke it out on the hard court in the upcoming regular season, they are currently enmeshed in a game of one-upmanship in terms of who among them will have the most creative schedule reveal. It’s a thing now, and we all just have to enjoy what these teams have put up.

The Atlanta Hawks seem to be winning this minor summer activity, though, as they released a comprehensive list of tracks, each corresponding to which team they will be matched up against on a given date. For the most part, songs from artists who hail from the cities of their opponents represent the actual games on the schedule.  To complete the gimmick, the Hawks even added an album cover for the playlist.

The Hawks are unlikely to make it to the playoffs next season, but their creativity is in postseason form. We have to give them that.

The Hawks’ 2018-19 campaign kicks off with a game at the Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks, which is reflected by the song ‘Drip’ by Cardi B, who is from Brooklyn, and Migos, who are, of course, from Atlanta.

Other notable tracks on the schedule include Lil Cray’s ‘Kyrie Irving’ for a Nov. 23rd home game against the Boston Celtics. It’s a classy choice. The Hawks could have gone for a Kehlani song, but they’re obviously keeping it all wholesome.
