Atlanta Hawks center Alex Len wants to win the 2020 Most Improved Player of the Year Award.

Len has been training hard this summer, working on his 3-point shot a lot.

Barring something unforeseen happening, Len will likely be the Hawks' starting center next season.

Via Chris Kirschner of The Athletic:

One of the trainers at Core4 asked Len what his goal for the season was, and he replied that he wanted to be the league’s Most Improved Player this year. Len was told that he should shoot for being an All-Star and try to average 20 points and 10 rebounds per game. That certainly would put him in the conversation of being an All-Star, and if he fell short of that, he’d still be in the running for Most Improved Player.

Last season, Alex Len averaged 11.1 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 49.4 percent from the field, 36.3 percent from beyond the arc and 64.8 percent from the free-throw line. It was the first time in his NBA career Len scored over 10.0 points per game.

Len led the Hawks in 3-point percentage after the All-Star break last season. He shot 41 percent from the 3-point line after All-Star weekend.

The Hawks are excited to see if Len can take another step next season after having his breakout year in 2018-19.
