The Atlanta Hawks have signed Damion Lee to a second 10-day contract right before a showdown with his brother-in-law Stephen Curry on Friday night.

Lee, the former Louisville Cardinal star signed a ten-day contract and didn't waste any time getting to work. He has played five games with the Hawks starting two of them. In those games, he is averaging  10.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.

His best game was Thursday night against the Sacramento Kings when he played 22 minutes putting up 13 points, four assists, and two rebounds.

For Lee he hopes to impress enough to be signed throughout the rest of the season. When his second 10-day contract ends the Hawks will have five games left in their season. It's at that point the Kings will have to either sign him for the rest of the season or decide to let him become a free agent.

If he was to become a free agent there is no doubt that there would be some other teams that would be interested in his services.

It would be kind of a shock for the Hawks to not give him another contract after this one if he continues to play the way he has so far this year.

Before signing with the Hawks Lee played for the Santa Cruz Warriors. He played in 38 games with them averaging 15.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
