Atlanta Hawks rookie small forward Cam Reddish and point guard Trae Young share the same agency, so the two have already connected since Atlanta drafted Reddish in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Cam says Young is a “phenomenal player” and he's looking forward to learning from the Hawks' floor general on what it takes to be a pro and win games.

Reddish averaged 13.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game for the Duke Blue Devils this past college season. He shot 35.6 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 77.2 percent from the free-throw line. Reddish will be paired with Young and John Collins in Atlanta. The Hawks have a very bright future ahead of them.

Reddish underwent surgery for a core muscle injury before the draft, so he will likely not play for the Hawks in summer league. We have to remember Reddish was the third option at Duke, playing behind Zion Williamson and R.J. Barrett. Reddish wasn’t able to fully showcase his offensive prowess in college since his usage rate was low. That’s going to change in Atlanta.

Young has already proved he's one of the best passers in the NBA. The Hawks guard was second in the entire league this past season in total assists. Only Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Russell Westbrook racked up more assists than Young.

It's going to be fun to watch Reddish play with Young in Atlanta. The two youngsters should complement each other well on the court.
