The Atlanta Hawks made a serious splash prior to NBA Free Agency, acquiring San Antonio Spurs star Dejounte Murray in a blockbuster trade.
Following the move, Murray had the perfect reaction on Twitter to teaming up with Trae Young and forming one of the most athletic backcourts in the league:

The All-Star is clearly ecstatic about joining the Hawks and he will certainly make them a whole lot better. Murray is one of the best two-way guards in the game and while his versatile skill set offensively is surely going to benefit Atlanta, it's his defensive tenacity that should be a difference-maker. He is a pest on the opposite end of the floor.
Also, the addition of Murray gives Trae a legitimate running mate, taking all the scoring and playmaking burden off his shoulders. They'll be able to play off each other and will be an absolute handful for opponents on a nightly basis.
It's a shame the Spurs had to lose Murray to the Hawks, but they gave him their blessing to seek a trade as they head into a rebuild. Plus, San Antonio got some solid draft assets in return.
Murray is coming off his best campaign yet and the hope is he'll be able to absolutely thrive with Atlanta and fully benefit from Young's brilliance alongside him.
