Dewayne Dedmon of the Atlanta Hawks believes that teammate Vince Carter “put his walker down” in their win over the Detroit Pistons.

At one point in the game, the 41-year-old Carter managed to sneak in a dunk — an impressive feat considering his age and the number of games he's played in a professional setting:

Dewayne Dedmon's comments come in after the Hawks' 98-95 victory over the Pistons. Along with 18 points, Carter also had seven rebounds, was 7-of-14 from the field and 3-of-9 from downtown. Dedmon himself had eight points, two rebounds, and two assists for the Hawks.

Vince Carter, who's in his 20th year in the league, has been an intrinsic part of Atlanta's season. It's another rebuilding year for the franchise and the 41-year-old has nothing but patience in teaching its young guys how to play in the NBA.

As of this writing, the Hawks have won three straight games and have a 9-23 record. More than the wins, the successful campaign means that by the end of the season, the young players would have built the right work habits and attitude. And Vince Carter is an important piece in achieving this goal.
