The Atlanta Hawks have been a pleasant surprise in the 2021 NBA Playoffs. They ran through the Knicks in the first round and are now tied 1-1 with the Sixers in the Western Conference Semifinals. However, the way the Hawks played up until the All-Star break didn't give fans much hope.

Forward John Collins was asked on Thursday if he's seen any changes in the way he's approached or acknowledged around ATL, especially after winning some playoff games. His answer was pretty hilarious, to say the least, per Hawks.com's Kevin Chouinard:

Four years of going to the same gas station and he's never even got a reaction out of the worker there. You'd think he/she would notice Collins. Then again, I guess not everyone follows sports unless the team is actually doing well. But once the Hawks started having some success on the big stage, it was a much different story.

While Collins has played his part, Trae Young has been the leading catalyst for Atlanta in their impressive run so far. The former Oklahoma standout is averaging 28.9 points and 10 assists in his very first postseason.

The Hawks took one out of two on the road in Philly and head back to Atlanta for a crucial Game 3 on Friday as they look to give their fans something to cheer about.
