The Atlanta Hawks sat out veteran sharpshooting guard Marco Belinelli over the last couple of days as his name was thrown around in trade rumors. While Atlanta was strongly looking to move the guard prior to the NBA's trade deadline on Thursday afternoon, the Hawks were unable to find a suitor for the Italian.

On Friday afternoon, Belinelli and the Hawks have agreed to a buyout the would make him a free agent and eligible to join another team, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

According to Wojnarowski, Belinelli and a number of championship contenders have mutual interest in adding the 11-year shooting guard. Belinelli averaged 11.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 0.9 steals per game in 23.3 minutes per game and 52 appearances for the Hawks this season.

Teams like the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Toronto Raptors could very well pursue Belinelli, but it's unclear which teams in particular are eying Belinelli.
