As it turns out, his co-rookies are not actually as hot on Zion Williamson as compared to what most of the pundits have been saying about the New Orleans Pelicans' potential in the league.

In a survey conducted by John Schumann of NBA.com, rookies were asked on who they think would have the best career among all the members of the 2019 draft class, and surprisingly, Atlanta Hawks forward Cam Reddish came out as the top vote-getter, accounting for 19% of the total tally.

What's even more surprising is the fact that Zion did not even come close to the top spot, nor did he come in second, or even third!

Williamson had to settle for 5% of the total votes, tying for fourth with RJ Barrett of the New York Knicks, teammate Jaxson Hayes also of the Pelicans, and the Chicago Bulls' Coby White.

We're not exactly sure what to make of this, and perhaps a better explanation of the premise of this query is in order. Maybe the respondents of this survey put a higher regard on a player's perceived ability to attain the most penultimate of achievements in the sport (ie, the NBA title) as opposed to one's individual potential. Then again, this does little to explain why they picked Reddish of the Hawks over Zion. No disrespect meant to Cam, though.

There is indeed a lot of talent in this class, but it does seem a bit off that a majority of his co-rookies are refusing to buy in on the hype of what many consider to be a once-in-a-generation type of talent in Williamson.
