After getting eliminated by the Miami Heat in the 2022 playoffs, Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young vowed to come back even better in his Year 5 in the NBA.

The Heat shut down Young in the series, with the Hawks guard even committing more turnovers than baskets made throughout their five meetings. With that said, Young understands that he has a lot of work to accomplish in order to not only return to the East Finals, but also compete for the Larry O'Brien trophy.

“Year 4 over & more motivated than ever.! I’m gonna do what I’ve always done & that’s level up some more ! Appreciate the fans that showed this team Love throughout this season ! …Trust we taking this up a notch next year ! Just wait..” Young wrote on Twitter a day after their postseason exit.

Trae Young was definitely one of the best players during the regular season, averaging 28.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 9.7 assists in 76 games for the Hawks. However, he failed to put up the same production come the playoffs with the Heat focusing on him on the defensive end.

Despite their rather poor performance, Young has proven that he is among the NBA's elites. He has also shown that he can carry a team consistently to the postseason, which should bode well for the Hawks' future.

For now, though, Young has to get back to the drawing board and figure out a way to dominate his opponents when he is being locked down.
