Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young has plenty of reasons to be happy after his All-NBA Team selection on Tuesday … 35.4 million reasons to be exact.

Young made it to the All-NBA Third Team for 2021-22, joining the likes of LeBron James, Chris Paul, Pascal Siakam and Karl-Anthony Towns. In the process, he earned the additional $35.4 million in his rookie contract.

As Bobby Marks of ESPN noted, Young's rookie scale extension will increase to $212 million. It's a bit of a financial hit for the Hawks, though, as they go $7.8 million over the luxury tax.

Trae Young, for his part, was clearly delighted with his All-NBA Third Team selection. On Twitter, the Hawks guard shared how blessed he is to get the recognition as one of the best players in the NBA today.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum and Devin Booker headline the All-NBA First Team, while Joel Embiid, Ja Morant, DeMar DeRozan, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant make it to the Second Team.

Young has been largely snubbed in most recognitions in the 2020-21 season, but he has bounced back big time as he turned heads and made no doubts in the minds of fans that he is one of the best in the league. And in just his fourth year in the league, he'll definitely be a regular in the All-NBA honors.
