Atlanta Hawks rookie Trae Young continues to make a late, strong push for the Rookie of the Year Award, as he was once again impressive against the Chicago Bulls on Friday.

As of the fourth overtime, Young has 47 points and 16 assists, and he joins Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson as the only players with an impressive statistical streak of at least 35 points and 10 assists.

A couple of days ago, he had 36 points and 10 assists against the Minnesota Timberwolves, a game which the Hawks also won 131-123.

For the season, Young is averaging 17.8 points, 7.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds while shooting 41 percent from the field. He's currently in a neck-and-neck race with Mavericks' Luka Doncic for the Rookie of the Year honors.

The Hawks are 21-41 for the season, 12th in the Eastern Conference. Behind Young, Atlanta is looking at a bright future. They are also planning to seek immediate help for him, as they are looking to get meetings with top free agents this summer.

The young core of Young, John Collins, Dewayne Dedmon, and Taurean Prince are expected to bring success to the Hawks. If they are able to land a star this summer, they can immediately become a contender in the East.

But even if they don't Young and the rest of these guys can blossom into great players in a few years. It will take some time but with the right development and management, the Hawks will have a formidable team in the future.
