Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young has earned a reputation in just four seasons. Whether it be his attitude on the court, his willingness to chirp back at NBA fans or his dominant performances in hostile road environments, Young is widely known as someone who doesn't shy away from controversy and rather lets it fuel him.

When Young begins to take shots at a player with a similar personality, Minnesota's Patrick Beverley, sparks are sure to fly.

That's exactly what happened Friday when Young took to Twitter to jab at Minnesota's defensive guard for being snubbed from both NBA All-Defensive teams.

Young and Beverley have only faced off three times, with all three matchups taking place in the regular season. Young has the advantage with a 2-1 record and 29.3 points per game against Beverley's teams. However, with some newly added motivation, the 10-year NBA veteran may come back at the young Hawks with fury next time they meet.

Beverley, a three-time All-Defense selectee, has never backed away from a challenge and is notorious for beefing with talented NBA guards such as Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul. He has also made appearances on multiple ESPN morning programs as of late, so it's possible Pat Bev's response comes from the TV screen rather than the timeline.

So far, Beverley has yet to respond to what seems to be a light jab between two players who enjoy a little controversy. But, knowing how quickly the two can flip the switch on their opponents, this could become the next entertaining NBA rivalry before we know it.
