Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young sustained an ankle injury in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Finals showdown with the Milwaukee Bucks, and he was obviously bothered by it for the rest of the game.

Young picked up the injury in the closing seconds of the third quarter after he accidentally stepped on the foot of the referee. He then headed to the locker room to get treatment for his injury before returning midway through the fourth quarter.

Unfortunately, Trae Young was clearly not himself anymore in the final period. He scored just three points in the last 12 minutes of play, while making uncharacteristically bad passes and decisions. The Hawks eventually succumbed and lost 113-102 as the Bucks took a 2-1 lead.

After the game, Young shared more concerning news regarding his injury, noting it is “sore” and still “hurting.” The Hawks star also shared his frustration, especially with the fact that he wasn't able to help the team maintain their early lead.

“I'm going to get as much treatment as I can. That's the plan,” Young shared when asked about his status for Game 4, per Ben Golliver of Washington Post.

Ankle injuries are tricky to get back from, so the Hawks will be hoping that it is not serious that would keep Young out. Of course, they also won't force their star player to suit up if there is a huge risk of reaggravating the it, so the team will surely be monitoring his condition.

Young and the Hawks will only have a one-day rest before returning to State Farm Arena to face the Bucks once again on Tuesday.
