There is no question that Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks was “lovin’ it” on Tuesday night as the injured star point guard watched his teammates dispatch the Toronto Raptors with ease.

Why, you ask? Because of his tremendous McDonald's-inspired fit, of course:

While Trae Young has now missed two straight games due to a minor calf injury, his team continues to sizzled as they further expand their hold on the fourth-seed in the Eastern Conference.

With multiple important players out for the Hawks, including Young, John Collins, Danilo Gallinari and Tony Snell, Atlanta kept on trucking behind the efforts of Clint Capela (19 points, 21 rebounds), Bogdan Bogdanovic (23 points, six rebounds, four assists) and backup point guard Brandon Goodwin (18 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals).

Goodwin, in particular, has taken advantage of Young’s absence by putting up back-to-back excellent games in strong wins for Atlanta.

With the win, the Hawks become only the fourth team in the East to hit the 30-win threshold this season, and the first time they hit 30 wins as a franchise since the 2016-17 season–which marked the last time the team made the playoffs.

Now, back to Young’s Mickey D’s fit.

While one might think it’s simply some branding exercise, it must be said that since the Hawks changed their colors to a more standard red and gold scenario after the nightmarish hellscape of “volt green” and triangles on the jerseys of years past, it’s actually nice to see the team’s colors match up with the iconic fast-food brand.

Clearly, Ice Trae agreed.
