Quavo got to see this: Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks produced one of the most staggering games of his young career on Thursday night. He polished off the Miami Heat with a virtuoso performance: 50 points on 12 of 25 shooting with 8 assists and 8 made 3-pointers.

Following the game on Atlanta’s home court, Young gifted his game-worn City Edition jersey to the night’s off-court star, the rapper Quavo of Migos:

The night’s action in Atlanta was dubbed “Quavo Night” and all attendees to the game received a free shirt emblazoned to memorialize the event.

The Atlanta-area rapper has long caped for Young, even going back before the 2018 NBA Draft, when he made it clear that the Hawks should prioritize Young. Could Quavo’s interest in selecting Trae be because of the marketability of his own song “Ice Tray” alongside the wunderkind point guard? Perhaps.

Either way, Hawks fans are certainly happy to have him on the squad for the foreseeable future and, hopefully, for his entire career.
