The days before the start of the regular season can't come fast enough for Atlanta Hawks rookie Trae Young, who now has the keys to the point guard position after the organization traded away Dennis Schroder late in July.

More than any other teams, the new Hawks member is excited to get a crack at the defending champion Golden State Warriors and the new-look Los Angeles Lakers, as well as playing at the mecca of basketball in Madison Square Garden, according to Kristian Winfield of SB Nation.

Those nights will square him off against Stephen Curry, a player he has been compared to since his college days, and LeBron James, arguably the most dominant player in today's NBA.

MSG's bright lights have always been known to be memorable for rookies, and it's likely that Young won't be the exception after playing against fellow rookie Kevin Knox and the New York Knicks, hopeful to get his magic moment like the two aforementioned have before.

Young got off to a slow start in Summer League, but soon corrected it, showing the true potential he possesses as an NBA-caliber talent. He'll likely first have to put the jitters away once again before putting up big performances against these teams and shine under MSG's limelight.
