According to ESPN Stats & Info, Hawks point guard Trae Young has passed LeBron James for the most 30-point, 10-assist games in a career before turning 22.

James had three and a half seasons under his belt before he turned 22 while Young is in the middle of just his second season.

Young, who now has 12 such games in his career dropped 39 points and 10 assists in 37 minutes in a 12-point loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.

Young came in second place in Rookie of the Year voting after being drafted No. 5 overall in the 2018 NBA draft.

Young is one of the biggest rising stars in the league today and has taken his game to a new level in 2019 as the 6-foot-1 guard out of Oklahoma is averaging 28.2 points and 8.3 assists in 20 games.

Despite being the fifth-leading scorer in the NBA this season, Young's play hasn't translated to wins for Atlanta. The Hawks have limped to a 5-17 record this year and sit 14th place in the NBA's Eastern Conference.

Young has dazzled audiences with flashy passes and near-half-court threes but in the 12 games where the point guard scores 30 or more points and dishes 10 or more assists, the Hawks are just 6-6.

Much of the Hawks poor play this season has stemmed from the suspension of star power forward John Collins who was suspended in early-November for a violation of the NBA's Anti-Drug Program and testing positive for a growth hormone.

And despite Young's tendency to explode on offense (including a career-high 49 points on November 29), the Hawks rank as the No. 25 offense in the league in terms of offensive rating and No. 20 in points scored per game.
