After it was revealed that both Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers will be forced to sit out the much-anticipated NBA All-Star Game due to health and safety protocols, the name of Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young was immediately thrown into the fire as a possible replacement for the Sixers duo. Young caught wind of the campaign on Twitter, and he decided to use a hilarious meme to make his feelings known about this development.

Young clearly had no intention of serving as a last-minute replacement:

Needless to say, Young isn't interested. Not even one bit.

The Hawks star was one of the biggest absentees of the All-Star festivities, and the fact that this year's events are being held in Atlanta made the snub even more significant. Whether he admits it or not, Young is probably still feeling a bit salty about not being voted into the All-Star squad this year, and at this point, he's not even entertaining the idea of being a last-second fill-in. No sirree.

For what it's worth, the NBA does not actually intend to replace Embiid or Simmons. It's a good thing that they were selected on opposing teams, which means that both Team LeBron and Team Durant are down one man each. The league won't be reaching out to Trae Young as a potential replacement, so there's not going to be a need for him to ignore their calls.

No harm, no foul I guess.
