Trae Young and his Atlanta Hawks was one of the eight teams excluded from the NBA's resumed season at Disney World in Orlando. However, according to ESPN, the NBA is in deep discussions on a second “bubble” in Chicago for the eight teams that were not invited to play in Orlando, allowing them to hold mini training camps and subsequent games against other teams in September.

During a recent interview, Young discussed his thoughts on the second bubble in Chicago and if he'll play in it or not, amid coronavirus concerns.

“I love it, I've been in talks about starting it,” Young said on Wednesday. “I'll for sure play in it if it's safe enough and I know a lot of my teammates will too, so yeah, I'm all for it. We can't go nine months without playing in a live game, so we got to find a way to make it work.”

If a second bubble does happen, it could be very beneficial for the younger teams, especially the Hawks. This past season, the Hawks finished with a disappointing record of a 20-47, the league's fourth-worst record. However, despite that, their young core showed tremendous upside and improvement this season.

Since the 2020-21 season isn't expected to start until December, the teams that weren't invited to Orlando will be going nine months without playing in a live game. As Young said, that'll be very difficult; therefore, this second bubble in Chicago has to happen. Not only will it allow them the players to develop, but it'll give them a chance to build chemistry with their team.
