Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young has gone from being the guy the Hawks traded Luka Doncic for to a legitimate rookie stud, as the University of Oklahoma product has been on a tear since February.

Of course, like any other NBA star, branding is important for business, and Young spoke on his own Team Young brand and what it means to him going forward:

“I've already treated everything I've done, tried to do it the right way because I know I have a brand to protect,” Young told Young Hollywood. “I want to make the brand, Team Young, something special, something that's a good way to represent myself.”

Young went on to state that how he carries himself goes far beyond just how people perceive him alone:

“I know I'm not only representing myself, but my family and the close ones around me, so in the meantime I can go out and visit the children's hospital or the Boys and Girls Club event. That's something that I love doing.”

The 20-year-old added that being a basketball player is not just about what you do on the court, because there are more eyes on you and more kids that look up to you.

“I try to use my platform the best way I can, and whenever you're picking these certain brands to partner with, I think it's important to pick something that represents you, represents yourself.”

Well said, Trae.

On the season, Trae Young is averaging 19.1 points, 6.6 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game.
