Trae Young received some tough love from his old man after the Atlanta Hawks' decisive 122-114 win over the Boston Celtics at TD Garden on Wednesday. The Hawks All-Star was feeling good about himself after dropping 40 points, eight assists, three rebounds, and two steals to help his team snap a four-game skid.

But being the straight shooter that Trae's father, Ray Young is, he managed to compliment and criticize his son at the same time during a hilarious post-game exchange.

Young was indeed pretty efficient on the floor against the Celtics, making 14 of his 20 field goals along with four three-pointers. The same, however, cannot be said for his handling of the ball since he committed eight of the Hawks' 14 total turnovers.

Good thing the 6-foot-1 playmaker is used to his dad's NSFW preaching and doesn't seem to mind at all.

The 22-year-old Young is extremely close to his father, who's pretty much been behind him throughout his career. For what it's worth, it's always nice to have a father figure to depend on through good times and bad. Young definitely had a great outing against the formidable Celtics, but his dad made sure he kept his feet on the ground after his historic performance.

After all, the Hawks are still outside the top eight in the Eastern Conference with a 12-16 slate. They've gone 3-7 in their last 10 games and Young must cut on his turnovers for the Hawks to get back on the right track.

For sure, Trae Young will try and take care of the rock much better next time, or he'll get another earful from his old man.
