Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young just got some ink done. The 22-year-old quickly took to Twitter to share his new piece, and it unsurprisingly garnered quite a significant amount of reactions on social media. What we could not help but notice, though, is how Young's new tat has a massive connection to Dallas Mavericks stud Luka Doncic.

For starters, here's Young's tweet showing off what is an undeniably dope piece of body art:

Nice and clean, right? The artist definitely deserves a ton of credit for this masterpiece.

Now, the Luka connection. In case you didn't know, the Mavs star also has a tattoo of an animal on his forearm. Here, have a look:

Doncic has a huge tiger on his left forearm, which in itself is also quite an impressive piece. For Trae Young, however, he opted to go for a lion on what appears to be his leg. For a second there I thought this was Trae's forearm, too. It looks like the Hawks star has skipped a few leg days at the gym.

So is Trae Young trying to get one over Luka Doncic here? I mean the lion is the king of the jungle, right, and the tiger is, well, it's not. The connection might be a bit of a stretch, but it was definitely a fun exercise connecting the dots. After all, the careers of these two stars have been intertwined from the very start — as in during the 2018 NBA Draft — and there's no denying that their career paths will run parallel to each other for many years to come.
