Big man Tyler Zeller has agreed to the terms of a 10-day deal with the Atlanta Hawks, according to a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski:

Zeller, now 29 years of age, has played for several teams over the course of his career in the NBA, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks. With limited roster space, the Bucks decided to waive Zeller before this season.

During the 2017-18 campaign, Zeller appeared in 66 games for the Nets and Bucks, recording overall averages of 6.7 points and 4.6 rebounds in 16.8 minutes per contest. The former 17th overall pick holds career averages of 7.0 points on 50.8 percent shooting from the field (29.4 percent from beyond the arc), 4.4 rebounds and just under one assist (0.9).

The Hawks are dealing with several frontcourt injuries, which could be one of the reasons they decided to make an offer to Zeller. Miles Plumlee and Dewayne Dedmon are both out with knee issues, though they're nearing a return. Forwards Alex Poythress and Omari Spellman are both listed on the team's injury report due to ankle issues. In Spellman's case, it's a sprain.

As Wojnarowski reports, Zeller is expected to officially sign with the Hawks on Friday. Perhaps he can find a niche in Atlanta.

The Hawks (22-44 and fifth in the Southeast Division) will be back in action on Saturday, when they'll welcome the Nets to town. Tip-off inside State Farm Arena is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
