If the 2019-20 NBA season gets canceled, then basketball fans have seen the last of Atlanta Hawks veteran forward Vince Carter.

Carter is retiring after the 2019-20 season. The Hawks wing says he's content with how his NBA career ends if this season is really over:

“I can say this now, who knows how the season ends and navigates, but regardless , I won with either result or either way this ends up,” Vince Carter said on the latest episode of “Winging it with Vince Carter and Annie Finberg.”

“If that was the last game and that was the last shot, I made my last shot and I'm cool with it and I feel good about my career and how things ended.”

When it was announced that the NBA season was suspended until further notice, Carter checked in for the Hawks against the New York Knicks and drilled a shot from beyond the arc in the final seconds.

It was a picture-perfect moment for Carter, who will go down as one of the best players in NBA history.

Carter averaged 5.0 points and 2.1 rebounds for the Hawks this season. Vinsanity will always be remembered for his high-flying days with the Toronto Raptors and New Jersey Nets.

If his NBA career is finished, Carter will have averages of 16.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists.
