Atlanta Hawks forward Vince Carter is one of the most explosive dunkers in NBA history, and he recently revealed what's allowed him to be so consistent. The 41-year-old has played for nine other NBA teams besides the Hawks. While he's not getting quite as high as some of his young teammates. However, he still has plenty of spring in his step, as he can still consistently punch through windmill dunks with ease. Carter says his own personalized training method has never changed.

“Just put the work in. I was blessed with some ability to jump, and I'm still using it until it goes away. I don't try to reinvent the wheel. The things that work, I stick with it. Obviously technology changes. I'm cool with it, but I'm hesitant because I know what works for me. I don't like to go off the beaten path,” said Carter.

Vince Carter didn't reveal the specifics of his method, and it's unlikely that it'll help him turn back the clock to challenge the likes of John Collins. Nevertheless, he's looking to mentor the youth on his team by sharing the wisdom he's acquired over his long career.

“I think we compliment each other well,” said Carter. “I just kind of give them the wisdom and fine tuning what they have already. It's figuring out what they want to accomplish, who they want to become, and we work at it. We have a lot of conversations back and forth.”

The Hawks have a legitimate Rookie of the Year candidate in point guard Trae Young. Young and the rest of the team have one of the game's best to learn from, so they'll take full advantage of everything he has to teach them.
