Vince Carter and Kent Bazemore of the Atlanta Hawks are set to start their own new podcast with The Ringer. They'll be joined by Annie Finberg who works in digital media for the Hawks.

This is yet another podcast to join The Ringer's extensive podcast list, and it represents another instance of current athletes diving into the podcasting world.

The intersection between the media and athletes is growing ever murkier, but that's not a bad thing at all. Fans crave the inside scoop from athletes, and the “Winging It” podcast will give fans an opportunity to listen to Vince Carter and Kent Bazemore discuss “whatever they want” — as The Ringer's tweet puts it. The name is also a nice touch for two players who play for a team named after a bird.

Vince Carter and Kent Bazemore should be naturals. In fact, the latter already hosted a podcast with Finberg and Mike Muscala, now with the Sixers. The trio hosted a spin-off of Channing Frye, Richard Jefferson, and Allie Clifton's Roadtrippin' podcast.

Kent Bazemore's experience with podcasting and Vince Carter's media savviness accrued during his long NBA career should serve the pair well in their new endeavor. Hawks fans will have to endure a lot of losses this season. That's just a cruel fact for the Atlanta area.

However, if they ever get fed up with the Ls, they can always turn on an episode of Winging It instead of watching the Hawks battle it out for the worst record in the league.
