The Atlanta Hawks have made point guard Dennis Schroder available in trade talks, according to Jeremy Woo of Sports Illustrated.

The news come at the heels of Michigan State forward Jaren Jackson Jr. becoming the likely pick of preference, conflicted by several potential options to pick from at the No. 3 overall slot.

Schroder's attitude during the season has been a reason for major concern, which has raised red flags throughout the organization. The Hawks have showed interest in European wonder Luka Doncic and Oklahoma point guard Trae Young, who can be plucked from the board rather early if the team chooses to go in a different direction.

“Armed with four desirable picks, the Hawks have also explored trade options for No. 3, including the potential of moving down. Atlanta is said to be conflicted about Luka Doncic, and while they do have interest in Trae Young, they likely won’t select him unless they’re able to move down.

The situation is complicated by Dennis Schroder, who the team has made available for trades, according to league sources.”

Atlanta is bound for a major rebuild, which was the key reason former coach Mike Budenholzer parted ways with the franchise, later committing to the Milwaukee Bucks as their new head coach.

Schroder previously met with the organization to discuss his future, coming out of it rather displeased with three years left on his current deal worth $46.5 million.

Schroder's reputation and his off-the-court incidents would make him a tough sell, as the District's Attorney recently recommended felony charges for his battery case stemming from a Sept. 29 incident.
