Kevin Huerter of the Atlanta Hawks likely has a promising career ahead of him as a deadeye three-point shooter, good passer, strong ballhandler and underrated athlete. However, in the Hawks’ Thursday night game against the Utah Jazz, Huerter had a tough moment in transition with a blown dunk:

In his defense, Huerter just recently had his minutes cap lifted after suffering a rotator cuff strain in November, which forced him to miss 10 games.

Huerter’s game against the Jazz was actually one of his best, despite that poor finish at the rim. Had he actually been able to complete that dunk, Huerter would’ve logged his season-high in points with 19. As it was, he finished with 17 points on 6 of 13 shooting, including 3 of 7 from deep.

The former No. 19 overall pick was named to the All-Rookie Second Team last year.

The Hawks play next on Saturday in Brooklyn against the Nets.
