Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young is currently in the midst of his second NBA season. However, Young has progressed much faster than anyone could have initially imagined.

On Tuesday evening against the Phoenix Suns, Young once again put his incredible skill set on full display.

Unfortunately for Suns guard Elie Okobo, Young took advantage of his backwards motion as the Hawks point guard perfectly ran the break en route to an easy layup.

Originally selected by the Dallas Mavericks with the fifth pick of the 2018 draft before being traded to the Hawks, Trae Young has certainly proved his doubters wrong.

While a lot of people doubted if his long-range shooting and style of play will work in the NBA, he quickly shut down those talks in his rookie season. While he struggled early in his first year, he eventually found his footing and even finished as a runner up to Luka Doncic in last year's rookie race.

This year, Young is playing like an All-Star and has a good chance to be one in the Eastern Conference. Entering Tuesday, the 21-year-old is averaging 28.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 8.4 assists while shooting 44.3 percent from the field and 36.7 percent from the 3-point line.
