The Miami Heat have announced the signing of forward Erik McCree per a press release on the Heat's website. Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.

McCree, 23, is a 6-foot-8 forward who went undrafted in this summer’s draft after spending three seasons with Louisiana Tech. He averaged 17.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, and shot 36 percent from beyond the arc as he earned All-Conference USA First Team honors in his senior year with the Bulldogs last season.

Erik McCree had a streak of five straight double-doubles last season, the first Louisiana Tech player to achieve that feat since Paul Millsap in 2005.

The Heat now have 19 players under contract, one short of reaching the 20-man limit for the training camp roster. Of those 19 contracts, 13 of them are guaranteed. Rodney McGruder and Okaro White are favored to grab those final two slots on the 15-man roster.

If McCree doesn’t make the roster, though, he could still feature for the Heat’s G-League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
