According to a report from Jack Flemming of the Sun Sentinel, Miami Heat legend Alonzo Mourning has sold his three-story estate on Miami’s Biscayne Bay for $8.25 million.

Flemming notes that Mourning's home had been on the market for a while. It was originally listed at $12 million, but it simply wasn't selling. The home — a 13,219 square foot mansion — finally sold after nine price cuts.

The residence has several impressive features, including indoor and outdoor living spaces, two balconies, a swimming pool, loads of windows, three boat slips, and a private harbor.

It's easy to see why Mourning, now 48 years of age, was drawn to this beautiful home. All in all, the mega-pad has seven bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms.

Financially speaking, Mourning seems to have done well on the home.

For Mourning, the retired Heat star, the property proved to be a good investment during his ownership. Records show he bought the place in 1996 for $3.2 million and sold it for nearly twice that amount a decade later.”

While Mourning has sold this mansion, he remains with the Heat in their front office and has a great legacy in Miami. The seven-time All-Star will forever be remembered for his tenacity on the defensive end of the floor. Oh, and let's not forget about those thunderous dunks.

Over the course of his 15-year career in the NBA, Mourning racked up averages of 17.1 points on 52.7 percent shooting from the field, 8.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 2.8 blocks in 31.0 minutes per outing. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame four years ago.
