Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro received quite the compliment from his veteran teammate Andre Iguodala on Friday.

Per the Associated Press' Tim Reynolds, the three-time NBA champion gave a glowing recommendation for Herro's passion for the game and willingness to put in the work each day.

Following an impressive one-and-done stint with the Kentucky Wildcats last year, Herro was pegged as one of the most NBA-ready prospects in the 2019 draft. The Heat held the 13th overall pick at the time and quickly snagged the 6-foot-5 shooter upon seeing him still available on the board.

Herro, 20, quickly proved he is worth the hype, as he came out firing right off the bat in his rookie season. He earned himself a spot in head coach Erik Spoelstra's rotation and averaged 12.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 47 games.

While Miami's undrafted guard Kendrick Nunn stole the headlines early on, Tyler Herro also impressed fans and pundits alike with his high-level 3-and-D capabilities.

His 39.1 percent shooting clip from distance was the fourth-best in the team, giving the Heat instant offense every time he comes off the bench. A right ankle injury forced the impressive neophyte to miss 15 consecutive games prior to the hiatus, but he will be good to go once action resumes on July 30.

Andre Iguodala, meanwhile, has been around the league since 2004 and he certainly knows grade A talent when he sees one. The 2015 Finals MVP has quickly acclimated himself in South Beach after getting traded to the team last February.

Iggy has only appeared in 14 games for the Heat so far and pitched in 4.4 points, 3.8 boards, and 2.0 dimes.

The Heat (41-24), on the other hand, currently holds the fourth-best record in the Eastern Conference. Miami will look to continue its uprising come playoff time, and Herro will certainly be a valuable piece for years to come.
