Miami Heat forward Andre Iguodala has enjoyed quite the homecoming in his return to the Bay Area to take on the Golden State Warriors.

Iggy and his ex teammates have not been shy about trading friendly jabs leading up to their matchup, and they made sure to keep it going up until gametime.

The Warriors played a video tribute honoring Iguodala's time with Golden State that was capped by a brief speech from shooting guard Klay Thompson. In response, the veteran expressed full confidence that Thompson and point guard Stephen Curry will be back on track in every game that they do not play the Heat, via NBC Sports Bay Area:

“My brothers will be back in action next year.. to wreck havoc on the league for 80 games.”

Iguodala's former teammates and coaches have offered nothing but praises since his departure. Regardless, it is clear that there is still some friendly competition brewing between both sides.

The 36-year-old enjoyed a rather successful stint in Golden State, becoming a three-time NBA champ and one-time Finals MVP. His prowess on both ends of the floor made him an integral member of their dynasty alongside the ‘Splash Bros.' and power forward Draymond Green. As a result, he will remain a fan favorite in the Bay Area long after his playing days are over.

Andre Iguodala had caught some flak for his holdout with the Memphis Grizzlies and his former teammates were not shy about coming to bat for him. He now finds himself with a bona fide playoff contender in the Heat and is hoping to stay true to his pregame comments with a win.
