Jimmy Butler left everything on the floor on Sunday night as the Miami Heat saw their season come to a bitter end in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Despite another epic performance from Butler, it was the Boston Celtics who escaped with a 110-96 victory to earn their spot in the NBA Finals.

After the game, Bam Adebayo had nothing but praise for his Heat teammate. According to the Miami star big man, there is no doubt in his mind that Butler has earned his spot alongside the top superstars in the NBA today:

“You can put him in that category of superstars,” Adebayo said, via Five Reasons Sports on Twitter.

It's hard to argue against Adebayo's message here. Butler finished his season with a 35-point, nine-rebound performance as he gave everything he can to help the Heat win. Unfortunately, it just wasn't enough against a relentless Celtics team. It was a total team effort from Boston and Miami just didn't have enough firepower to match their opponents.

It was an undeniably disappointing end to the year, but there is no doubt that Miami should keep their heads held high after what turned out to be a very impressive 2021-22 campaign.
