Miami Heat All-Star big man Bam Adebayo has spoken out about his team's chances against the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks.

According to the 22-year-old, he believes that his Heat could defeat reigning league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Bucks in a seven-game playoffs series.

“I am taking my team,” Bam Adebayo confidently told Chris Sheridan of Forbes when asked who would win between the Heat and Bucks in a Game 7.

Milwaukee is the best team in the Eastern Conference right now, and the Heat will almost certainly need to go through them if the season resumes and they face each other.

Adebayo cited the fact that in the current regular season, the Bucks have yet to defeat the Heat. The one-time All-Star noted that it is something “that gives us more confidence going into that boxing match.”

“I’m not saying they can’t beat us, but we like our chances,” Adebayo added.

Adebayo's confidence level is certainly likable here. After all, you need to have this ruthless mindset if you want to succeed at the highest level. This is certainly something the Heat faithful want to hear from their prized big man.

Recently, Heat team president Pat Riley declared that his team is “close” to building a championship side, and it appears that this line of thinking has been imbibed by everyone on the team.

It is worth noting that as it stands, it seems that there is a big chance that the 2019-20 season will be canceled altogether. However, it remains to be seen whether or not this is a good thing for the Heat with regards to their long-term goal of winning a title.
