Miami Heat All-Star big man Bam Adebayo confirmed that no one from the team is going to sit out the “bubble” games at the Walt Disney Resort in Orlando, Florida.

However, the Heat's rising star did acknowledge the concern players have about getting injured at Walt Disney World since they haven't played since March.

Bam Adebayo joined De’Aaron Fox, Kyle Kuzma, Donovan Mitchell and Jayson Tatum on a phone call with NBPA executive director Michele Roberts and senior counsel Ron Klempner last week about the NBPA possibly facilitating talks with the league on possible insurance allowances for players.

Adebayo, Fox, Kuzma, Mitchell and Tatum are eligible for rookie scale extensions whenever the 2020 offseason period officially begins. There is an increased risk of injury for players at Walt Disney World since they haven’t been able to train due to COVID-19.

The Heat won 41 games before Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19 (that eventually resulted to the NBA suspension). They are in fourth place in the East and have already clinched a playoff spot.

Adebayo is averaging 16.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists for the Heat this season. The 22-year-old has developed a great rapport with Miami star small forward Jimmy Butler, and both players are eager to lead the South Beach franchise back to the promised land.

The “bubble” games are scheduled to start on July 30. The Heat missed the playoffs in 2018-19, so fans of the club are excited to see the franchise back on the NBA's biggest stage.
