After putting on a stellar performance on the offensive boards, Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo had some high praises for himself.

Per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Adebayo cheered for himself upon discovering that he had a total of seven offensive rebounds on Monday against the New York Knicks.

Adebayo had a total of 17 rebounds for the night, to go along with his 20-point output. Jimmy Butler had a game-high 27 points. The win snapped the Heat's six-game losing streak, so you can't blame Bam for giving himself a pat on the back for his performance.

It has been a disappointing year for the Heat after making it all the way to the NBA Finals last season. One would expect Miami to be on top of the Eastern Conference standings or at least show some improvement in their play, but the 2020-21 NBA season has been a puzzle thus far for Erik Spoelstra and crew.

Miami can't seem to figure out how to squeeze out those victories. Duncan Robinson's post-game comments summarize what the Heat felt after the win:

“It's a great feeling (to win after) anytime you drop any in a row, let alone six in a row,” Robinson said, per the Associated Press via ESPN. “We were struggling, so it's certainly nice to just get this one.”

Hopefully, their win over the Knicks gives them that much-needed confidence boost moving forward. It would be downright frustrating if Bam Adebayo and the Heat fail to make it to the playoffs.

They face the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday.
