Miami Heat big man Bam Adebayo worked his way to return to the floor as soon as possible after nursing his strained neck injury for the past two games. Despite being on the court for his team in Game 4, the former Kentucky Wildcat was clearly not in full health evidently showed by his poor fourth-quarter performance, according to the Miami Herald.

The 23-year old sustained the injury back in Game 1 last Wednesday and missed both Games 2 and 3 of the Finals series. He was virtually a non-factor for his team as he only scored two points, attempted only one shot, grabbed just one rebound and didn’t log any other stats in the final canto of the game.

Adebayo finished with a final tally of 15 points, seven rebounds, and an assist in 33 minutes played. Forward Jimmy Butler led at the forefront with his 22 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists while rookie Tyler Herro added 21 points and seven rebounds for the Heat.

Another injured player of the Heat in point guard Goran Dragic participated in the team's warmups but failed to make his return in Game 4 due to an ailing torn plantar fascia injury in his left foot.

Their collaborative effort still fell short against a tough Lakers squad bannered by Lebron James' 28 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists. Anthony Davis supported by chalking up 22 points, nine rebounds and four assists for the Purple and Gold.

Game 4 eventually concluded on a 102-96 outcome which went to the way of the Lakers, lifting them to a 3-1 series advantage. Already on the brink of elimination, the Heat will need Bam Adebayo to play at his best despite the injury if they want to give themselves a chance to extend the series.
