Jimmy Butler has been adamant about promoting his pop-up coffee brand, Big Face Coffee, throughout the NBA playoffs.

However, Butler will not be giving out free coffee. Not even if the Heat win the NBA title:

The origin of Big Face Coffee is rather humrous.

Heat players were not satisfied with the coffee offerings in the bubble, so Jimmy Butler decided to purchase his own equipment and operate out of his room.

Via Malika Andrews of ESPN:

So, Butler ordered more equipment and scribbled “Big Face Coffee” — a nod to an inside joke — in blue marker on a whiteboard and hung it outside his room. When teammate Meyers Leonard posted a photo of Butler's homemade sign on Twitter, Big Face Coffee went viral.

What started as a simple caffeine fix for Butler has morphed into a running joke within the Heat organization — with Butler offering free coffee to teammates who have a good game — and a source of entertainment that breaks up the monotony of trips from the hotel to the arena and back.

Jimmy Butler is looking to capitalize on his individual branding. The five-time All-Star has worn merchandise when arriving to the arena prior to the start of games, and he even filed a trademark for the logo earlier this month:

Butler is a man of many tastes. He has long been interested in wine, and he's now embarking on this coffee venture. There has been a bit of coffee competition in the bubble, which only adds to the hilarity of this saga.

Of course, Jimmy Butler might be willing to trade his success in the coffee game for the first NBA title of his career.
