The Miami Heat hosted the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night, and after the matchup took place, two Chicago natives displayed mutual respect for each other. 16-year veteran Dwyane Wade had a special moment with All-Star center Anthony Davis as the two swapped game-worn jerseys:

It was indeed a heart-warming moment. Anthony Davis gains a souvenir from a future Hall of Famer and three-time NBA champion, while Dwyane Wade gets a jersey from one of the league's brightest young stars and a likely future Hall of Famer in his own right.

On the court, it was Wade's Heat coming away with a 106-101 victory over Davis' Pelicans. The two did not fail to deliver, with both players putting forth strong efforts. The Brow finished with a game-high 41 points in a grueling 41 minutes on the court, and he also added nine rebounds and two assists.

It wasn't enough, though, as a slow start hindered the Pelicans' chances of claiming this one. Davis, however, fired up the Pelicans in the latter minutes of the game and managed to give New Orleans a chance to complete the comeback, only to fall just short.

Wade, meanwhile, provided a supporting role and finished the game with 18 points for the victorious Heat.

The Pelicans have started the season slowly. Their 11-12 record is only good for 11th place in the Western Conference.

This was a good confidence booster for Dwyane Wade and the Heat, who are also struggling at 8-13. They've only won three of their last seven games, and they hope that this can be the start of their turnaround.
