The entire basketball community breathed a collective sigh of relief upon learning that Dwyane Wade was okay after the 37-year-old Miami Heat star was involved in a potentially career-threatening incident on Friday night.

During the first quarter of the Heat's matchup against the Sacramento Kings, Wade was forced to exit for a while after hitting the back of his head on the floor. Fortunately, it did not turn out to be anything serious. After the game, the soon-to-be-retired Miami legend proved that he was perfectly fine by making light of the scary on-court moment.

That's actually very funny. And the fact that he appears to be very comfortable about his advanced age makes it a lot more fun.

Wade's exit proved to be short-lived, as the three-time NBA champion returned to the game in the second quarter. He finished his final game in Sacramento in style, recording with 15 points (on 6-of-14 from the field), three three-pointers, four rebound, and four assists in 26 minutes off the Heat bench.

Wade's performance, however, came in a losing effort as the Kings were led to a 102-96 victory by the sharp-shooting heroics of Buddy Hield. The third-year pro notched a game-high 23 points (on 8-of-16 shooting), four three-pointers, seven rebounds, an assist, and two blocks to lead the charge for Sacramento.

The Dwyane Wade farewell tour will make its next stop in Oakland as the Heat take on the defending champs, the Golden State Warriors, on Sunday. It will be followed by a trip to the Denver Nuggets the following night, so it would not be surprising if Wade ends up sitting out one of these two games.
