Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade missed Wednesday's home game against the San Antonio for personal reasons, and now we know where the future Hall of Famer was.

Wade and his wife, actress Gabrielle Union, announced Thursday the birth of a baby girl via a surrogate. Wade and Union now have three kids, two boys and a girl.

As we all know, this is Dwyane Wade’s last season in the NBA. What a way to kick the season off by having a baby girl. It's just going to make this year even more special for Wade and his family.

In nine games off the bench this season, Dwyane Wade is averaging 14.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists while shooting 45.0 percent from the field, 41.7 percent from beyond the arc and 59.3 percent from the free-throw line. The Chicago native is playing roughly 25 minutes a game.

The Heat have started the season 5-5.

Wade recently passed Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler for 30th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. The three-time NBA champion is already the Heat’s career leader in points, assists, steals and games played. His No. 3 jersey will be retired by the Heat franchise one day.

On top of being a three-time NBA champion, Dwyane Wade has  made the All-Star team 12 times and was the 2006 Finals MVP when the Heat defeated the Dallas Mavericks.
