Dwyane Wade took time to congratulate former teammate Ray Allen for his enshrinement in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, while also thanking him for the monstrous corner 3-pointer that gave the Miami Heat life against the San Antonio Spurs in the 2013 NBA Finals.

Wade's team was on the ropes before Allen was spotted wide-open in the corner by Chris Bosh after an offensive rebound. Bosh passed out to Allen, who reset his feet and launched the game-tying long-range bomb to force overtime against the San Antonio Spurs.

“I played with a lot of great players in my NBA career but one of my favorite players of all time is/was Mr Ray Allen,” said Wade in a tweet on Friday. “Congrats on getting that HOF jacket my brother. Well deserved! P.S thanks again for hitting that corner 3!!!!”

The Heat would take that pivotal Game 6 and go on to win Game 7, giving Allen his second NBA title and Wade his third, making this perhaps the most memorable shot of his NBA career.

Allen will be enshrined Friday and presented by Reggie Miller, the player he surpassed for the title of the NBA's all-time 3-point king, boasting 413 more than the previous all-time long-range sniper.

Wade, without a doubt, will be forever thankful Allen was in “his corner” for that moment, as it made all the difference in the rings on his fingers.
