Dwyane Wade recently announced his decision to come back for one final season with the Miami Heat. But that wasn't the only big announcement Wade had to make this week. The future Hall of Famer is opening a restaurant with teammate Udonis Haslem.

According to Olee Fowler of Eater Miami:

“Miami Heat stars Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem have announced today that they’ve partnered to introduce the West Coast-based restaurant 800° Woodfired Kitchen to South Florida this fall at 2956 Aventura Boulevard, Suite C-3. This marks the first business venture that Wade and Haslem have launched together as part of their new company Forty-Three.”

The West Coast-based, 800° Woodfired Kitchen is a fast-casual pizza place run by Chef Anthony Carron. Wade told Danny Klein of QSR:

“As a professional athlete, I understand the importance of eating well. 800° Woodfired Kitchen raises the culinary bar by offering guests a unique dining experience with high-quality ingredients and delicious food in a relaxed setting. I’m excited to partner with a growing company as they continue to expand with new locations around the world and introduce this concept to wider audiences.”

Wade and Haslem have worked together for a very long time, but this is much different than their previous professional relationship. The pair broke into the league together with the Heat during the 2003-04 season and have spent their entire careers together, other than a brief hiatus during the last two seasons.

Wade and Haslem are in the twilight of their basketball careers, but they're already starting their careers for after basketball.
