After the Miami Heat secured their ticket to the NBA Finals with a huge Game 6 win over the Boston Celtics, franchise icon Dwyane Wade was one of the very first people to react to the momentous achievement.

Sure enough, Wade wasn't able to hold back his joy after seeing his former team make it to the biggest stage of all. He particularly expressed his happiness for Jimmy Butler, who will be playing in the first Finals of his career.

Butler has been under the microscope of critics for the past few years as he moved from city to city. This year, the five-time All-Star found a home in Miami where he immediately fit in with the team's culture.

Wade also expressed his excitement for the Heat's young core, particularly for Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo who have been extra special inside the bubble.

Herro, the youngest player in the Eastern Conference Finals, has been on a tear as a key sixth man for Erik Spoelstra's Heat. In fact, he exploded for a historic 37 points in Game 4 to lead Miami to victory.

Adebayo, on the other hand, has arguably been the biggest reason why the Heat are where they are right now. Bam had a breakout year this 2019-20 campaign, and his incredible versatility and athleticism has allowed Miami to play small ball that has worked wonders for them in their playoff run. The first-time All-Star had a game-high 32 points and 14 rebounds on Sunday night.

Now, the newly-crowned Kings of the East will be facing Dwyane Wade's former teammate and long-time buddy LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers. Game 1 between the Heat and the Lakers tips off on Wednesday.
