Dwyane Wade's partnership with Chinese shoe company, Lining, has been gaining traction all over the world. Recently, Tamera Young of the WNBA's Las Vegas Aces wore a pair of Wade's Lining shoes to a game, much to the delight of the 12-time all-star.

But the WNBA has since issued a fine to Young as the latter should not wear any Lining shoes because she is not signed by the brand. Again, Wade came to the rescue.

Aaron Dodson of The Undefeated tweeted out a reference to WNBA's warning against Young.

“After Ty Young wore the exclusive Way of Wade 6s vs. the Dream on Aug. 7, she received a warning from the WNBA of a $500 fine if she wears them again, because she's not signed by the brand. “

Though Wade was really happy to see his shoes being worn by a WNBA player for the first time, he understands the rules and agreed to pay the fine.

Wade left Team Jordan in 2012 when he signed a multi-year deal with Lining. It was a real shock to everyone as Wade's Jordan shoes had become a popular buy in the market. But Wade was quick to shut down allegations that this career move is merely based on money. He sat down with ESPN's Darell Rovell and talked about signing with the Chinese shoe company.

“This is a great opportunity for me,” Wade told [Rovell]. “I can either choose to stick to the status quo or be a trailblazer.”

Young is no slouch either when it comes to her shoe game. Aaron Dodson of The Undefeated views her as “WNBA's biggest sneakerhead.”

“She brings the term sneakerhead — and female sneakerhead — to life. … She could wear a pair a day for a year and not repeat.”
