Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Paul George put on another spectacular performance on Friday night against the Miami Heat. So much so, that even Heat legend Dwyane Wade was so impressed that he could not help but rave about his opponent's spectacular showing on the evening.

As a mater of fact, Wade admitted that George happens to be his favorite player in the league, and that his performance on Friday proved exactly why this is the case.

George led the Thunder to a 118-102 win against Wade and co., scoring a game-high 43 points on 14-of-23 shooting. The 28-year-old also notched 10 three-pointers, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 35 minutes of action.

George has been playing at an elite level throughout the season, and he has established himself as a legitimate MVP candidate. The 6-foot-9 swingman is currently averaging a career-best 27.6 points (on 45.4 percent shooting), 3.7 three-pointers, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, a league-leading 2.3 steals, 0.5 blocks, and 2.6 turnovers. There are very few players in the NBA right now who possess better numbers than George.

For his part, Wade had a rather forgettable evening in the loss against the Thunder. The veteran made only 2-of-8 from the field for seven points, along with a rebound, six assists, and three steals in 23 minutes off the bench. The Wade farewell tour remains to be in full swing, and sadly, we're now halfway through. Soon enough, it's going to be time to finally say goodbye to a man who will certainly be considered as one of the greatest to ever play the game.
