In the 2019 NBA Draft, the Miami Heat selected Tyler Herro for the 13th overall pick. And Heat legend Dwyane Wade quickly sent a message to the young sharpshooter.

Via Twitter, Wade said:

“Ok Tyler Herro i hope you’re ready to work. It’s the @MiamiHEAT way. Let’s go!”

What does Wade mean by this? Will he be part of the Heat's staff come the 2019-2020 season? Or is he simply on the lookout for the Heat — the team which drafted him and where he forged his legendary career? Who knows? But for Heat fans, it's definitely comforting that even though he's retired, the three-time champion is making his presence felt.

Analysts see the 6-foot-5 Herro as the replacement of Wayne Ellington, Tyler Johnson, and Rodney McGruder — sharpshooters whom the team lost due to luxury-tax transactions. In his lone season with the Kentucky Wildcats, Hero shot an impressive 60-of-169 from deep. He also set the Kentucky single-season record for free throw percentage at .935.

In addition, he was the 2018-19 SEC Newcomer of the Year and voted second-team All-SEC and first-team All-Freshman. Prior to the NBA Draft, Kentucky head coach John Calipari believes that Herro stands out because he's driven and has the complete package. Per Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel:

“Tyler is wired and driven like few other players I’ve coached. A complete basketball player who can score on the bounce, who can shoot it, who can defend and who can rebound. It's his total package that will make Tyler successful at the next level.”

Will Herro be the Heat's next franchise player? Will Wade be out there to guide the 19-year-old?
